Minimum started in 1997 as an independent store located in Aarhus, Denmark. Since then, Minimum has evolved into an internationally recognized fashion brand. The mission of Minimum was to design accessible fashion. With this idea in mind, the first men's collection was launched in 1999. The women's collection followed in 2007. Minimum clothing focused on contemporary designs of high quality. Over the years, the collections have been refined with great attention to Minimum's minimalist style. Today, the internationally represented brand can be found at over 1200 retail locations in Europe, Asia, Australia, and Canada. Despite Minimum's international growth, the brand can still be seen as independent. The brand is still led by its founder and owner, Peter Tang.
