Monk & Anna was founded in 2016 by Simone, Dorien, and Lotte. Simone is Head of Production and Product Development, while Dorien and Lotte are responsible for product development and design. By joining forces, they created a brand with minimalist and aesthetic bags, made from various textures in soft earth tones. Monk & Anna's small collections consist of beautiful bags, such as crossbody bags, backpacks, shoulder bags, and shoppers, designed with great care and attention to detail. At Monk & Anna, they ensure that each product appears in an authentic packaging, reflecting their own story and name.

King Kong

The name Monk & Anna is based on the old movie King Kong. Monk is synonymous with King Kong himself, and Anna represents a female character in the film named Ann. Therefore, Monk & Anna started with a Monk bag and an Anna shopper. Nowadays, the brand not only offers the Monk bag and Anna shopper, but also expands into other bags, lifestyle products, and clothing. Even after this expansion, all product names are still based on the movie King Kong.
