The independent family label Sofie Schnoor was founded in 2001 by designer Sofie Schnoor. Sofie is driven by her creativity and only designs what she would wear herself or what she would dress her own children in. This honest, real-life foundation gives the brand a personal touch and an authentic feeling that is reflected in all collections. Sofie herself grew up with creative parents who worked in the fashion industry at various stores. As a child, she accompanied her parents to factories and fashion fairs, which allowed her to experience the entire design process up close and now knows how to create a marketable design.

The Sofie Schnoor brand started in 2001 with a shoe collection, followed by the children's collection Petit By Sofie Schnoor and the clothing collection in 2007. The items from Sofie Schnoor can currently be found in multiple department stores, webshops, shop-in-shops, and both large and small retailers and high-end design stores worldwide. In total, there are no less than 600 stores selling Sofie Schnoor items, in addition to the brand's three own stores in Denmark.
